One of my favorite warmer weather activities is visiting the MN Zoo so I was ecstatic when friends from out of town were visiting & wanted to go. The zebras & giraffes weren’t out yet but there was still a lot to see. They even had a petting zoo in celebration of the arrival of Spring.
I geared up our Chicco Urban stroller & planned for a rainy cold day which surprisingly took a turn for the best by noon. The sun made its appearance & the heat was out to play so we were able to check everything we wanted to do off our list. We started with the bears & lions. At 13 months it was hard for Dash to stay focused on anything other than the kids running around but he took a quick liking to the farm animals, the tropic trail & Discovery bay. Babies love anything that stimulates their sight & brain activity. So the bright colors were everything for him.
Fortunately for my wallet Dash never took a liking to anything in the gift shops. But something I do recommend splurging a few extra bucks on are the drinking cups filled with Vitamin water. Dash loves drinking out of fun cups & the animal shapes made it easy for gripping. I also highly recommend the salad bar in the food court. I didn’t think they would offer much to accommodate my diet but they will customize any salad to your liking. The Asian salad was divine.
Thanks again MN Zoo for the very fabulous day.
