Lets be real; Summer is crazy! & The last thing you want to do is put together a lengthy & demanding bucket list for you and your child when you know damn well you won’t even be able to make a dent in it. Not only is it busy life season, it’s break the wallet season as well. With all these weddings, birthday parties, graduations & other responsibilities it’s no wonder why I step into fall every year with barely a tan or money,
This year I wanted to go into summer with a realistic mindset. I know I don’t have a ton of money to spend & I know our weekends our limited. Luckily, toddlers aren’t too high maintenance which is why I put together a short, sweet, inexpensive but FABULOUS list of summer MUST DO’s for the LO & myself.
Strawberry Picking is number one on my list this summer. My son LOVES berries & getting dirty. Most pickings start in June so check your local vineyards & orchards for details.
Petting Zoos are great fun for kids & are usually inexpensive if not free at most fairs. Don’t forget your hand sanitizer!
Making your own healthy popsicles is a great way to give your LO a fun snack filled with nutrients & ingredients that you KNOW are in there.
Food Trucks are appealing to kids for so many reason… It’s a different experience for them! Try a few things & make picnic out of it! See your cities webpage for events that may host this.
Summer is the season for healthy treats. Visit your local farmers marker & introduce your child to whole foods & fresh flowers. The experience alone is free.
An outdoor water park costs money but save by bringing your own lunch & having a towel picnic on the lawn.
Nature walks are a great way to spend your summer. A little research online can bring you to some amazing places nearby. Load the LO up in your best carrier, get out & create some memories.
Drink Smoothies From A Pineapple!! BECAUSE WHY NOT! So maybe this is more for my own personal bucket list… the pics are cute though right?
Firework shows appeal to everyone but especially children. This summer we have introduced our son to sparklers & talk about his eyes lighting up.
Picnics At The Park are a free, fun way to get your child out of their routine & typical element. Soak up the sun, bring some tunes & play some games while snacking by the park with your LO.
